Emir of Ilorin confers traditional title of Sardauna of Ilorin on Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari(CFR) has confered the traditional title of Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate on Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
The first class monarch who also doubles as Chairman of the traditional Council of chiefs and Obas in Kwara State made the announcement during the Governor’s visit to his palace on Thursday.
“It’s my prerogative to bestow on you the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate from now on” the monarch said
The revered title of Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate was first and last held by the late Ilorin-born billionaire, industrialist and philanthropist, Alhaji Umar Saro, who died in 2021.
