Ekiti LG: Moves to backdate SA forestry resignation thickens
… Toyin Sanusi, Gbenga Makajuola, Akin Fatigun fingered as mastermind

With few days to the final submission of names to the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission, plans are in top gear to backdate the resignation of the Special Adviser on Forestry to the Kwara State government, Hon. Amos Sayo, this medium has exclusively gathered.
Sayo Amos who is a former Youth Empowerment Coordinator (YEC) in Ekiti before his appointment in 2015, is said to be a stooge of the immediate past Chairman of the LG, Hon. Akintoba Fatigun.
According to impeccable party sources who craved anonymity, Alh. Toyin Sanusi who was the Chief of Staff Government House before his appointment as the Special Adviser Political to the Senate President have succeeded in selling the candidacy of Amos to the Senate President, who is the leader of the party in Kwara State.
The source who is privy to the last ditch underhand moves to give Amos a smooth ride said “Toyin Sanusi and Akintoba Fatigun are assiduously working towards ensuring Amos is picked as Saraki’s candidate as against the expectations of a free and fair primaries.
“Although leader has insisted any LG not able to come up with a consensus candidate should proceed for primaries, some powerful forces majority of whom are from outside Ekiti LG are hellbent on imposing a candidate of there choice” he stressed.
However, with the local government election slated for November 18th, leaving 67 days to the election, Sayo Amos has run foul of the electoral act which stipulates resignation no later than 90 days to the election.
Having gotten wind of the move to backdate Amos’s resignation, our undercover reporters been visiting the office of the Koro born politician inside the Kwara State Ministry of Environment and Forestry to ascertain and authenticate the resignation rumour.
It was discovered that Sayo Amos have been on seat attending to files and carrying out his official capacities till the time of filing this report.
All attempts made at getting reactions of Hon. Sayo Amos proved abortive as numerous calls put across to him were unanswered as at the time of filing this report.
