Eid-El-Kabir: No durbar activities in Kano, police declares
The Kano State Police Command has banned all Durbar activities for the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations, citing security concerns.
In a statement released on X, the police explained that the measure follows a series of security reports and consultations with relevant stakeholders aimed at ensuring public safety.
The command congratulated Muslim faithful on witnessing the Eid-El-Kabir period and extended early Sallah greetings to the community.
Recall that the Kano State government had repealed the Kano Emirate law and reinstated Muhammad Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.
Emir Sanusi II has taken over the main palace at the Kano Emirate while the 15th Emir, Bayero occupies the Gidan Nassarawa Emir’s guest house which is known as the mini palace.
