Danladi emerges chairman as Kwara ALGON elects new leadership

Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Danladi of Kaiama Local Government as the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kwara State Chapter, in a unanimous election of councils’ leadership.

According to a statement on Monday by Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf of the Ifelodun Local Government, who is also the Public Relations Officer, the 16 Local Government Chairmen converged on Sunday to complete the Executive.

The statement stated that the election also saw Hon. Nuhu Majeed Podo, Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government, emerging as Vice Chairman; Hon. Jolayemi Lanre Benjamin, Chairman of Isin Local Government, as Secretary; Hon. Sheu AbdulRahaman Ladan, Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, as Treasurer; Hon. Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of Edu Local Government, as Financial Secretary; and Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, as the State Public Relations Officer. 

This election was overseen by all 16 Local Government Chairmen in Kwara State and ensured a smooth and transparent process. 

The ALGON Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar, congratulated the executives while appealing for a strong synergy between members to foster a unified front, ensuring the current administration’s success.
