COVID-19: Kwara intercepts 17 travellers from Osun

Security operatives in Kwara State have intercepted no fewer than 17 travellers while violating the lockdown order in the state.

The federal government had on April 27 imposed border restrictions as part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID- 19.

THE INFORMANT247 learnt that the Kwara-bound travellers from Osun state were accost at Erinle by men of the Nigeria Navy and handed over to the police for prosecution.

Recall that the Offa COVID-19 technical committee on Sunday warned travellers into the town against violating the government order, threatening that any new entrant to the town shall be put on Isolation for 14 days at its Quarantine Centre in line with the COVID-19 protocols.
