Court stops LP’s National Chairman, 3 others from parading selves as party leaders

The National Chairman of the Labour Party LP Julius Abure and three other leaders of the party have been restrained from parading themselves in their official capacities.

This became the status quo following an order issued by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama.

The presiding judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, in a ruling on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 maintained that the order made ex-parte shall remain till the conclusion of a pending motion on notice.

The Informant247 recalls that some aggrieved members of the party including the spokesperson of the party, Abayomi Arabambi challenged the defendants’ stay in office over alleged corruption.

The verdict was pronounced after the presiding judge had heard from the plaintiffs’ lawyer, James Onoja (SAN).
