Buhari urges youths to stop street protests in address to the nation
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged #EndSARS protesters to stop embarking on street protests, saying that the government is responding to their demands.
Buhari made this known in a live broadcast on Thursday evening.
The president explained that the protesters’ failure to take advantage of initiatives designed by the current administration may result to chaos, noting that undermining national security won’t be tolerated.
He added that some Nigerians mistook as weakness, the swift response of his regime to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force .
He, however, promised better welfare package for police officers in the country.
