BREAKING: Hakeem Lawal set to defect to APC

Former Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State, Hakeem Lawal, is set to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Informant247 exclusively gathered from credible inside sources that the Idi-Ape–born politician has concluded plans to return to the APC.

It will be recalled that Lawal, the eldest son of late former Kwara State Governor Mohammed Lawal, defected from the ruling APC to the SDP in April 2022.

His planned defection comes amid renewed political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
