Avoid making calls behind steering, KWARTMA urges road users

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) has enjoined road users to avoid making or receiving calls behind the steering and driving against traffic.
In a statement signed by Olawuyi Gani Olalekan, Head, Media/PRO, KWARTMA on Monday, the Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bamidele Michael, urged the general public to be wary of road signals and carryout safety practices when making use of the roads.
Advising the pedestrians, Bamidele directed them to make it a usual practice of facing the traffic while using the road.
He said pedestrians should put on clothes that reflect or possibly white, while walking on the road at night.
He appreciated His Excellency, Mallam Abdurahman Abdulrasaq CON,for embarking on different road projects across Kwara State, which will ease smooth mobility and improved socioeconomic, upon completion.
