Attempt to conspire against youthful candidate, Rukayat Shittu will not stand – Asa Elders
The elders and stakeholders of Asa in Owode Onire state constituency have commented on the verdict of the high court which blemishes the nomination of Rukayat Shittu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
The elders have described the judgement as a riot against fact and an attempt to conspire against the population of the youth of the constituency.
The concerned Progressive stakeholders elders in the 9 wards of the federal constituency, speaking through Honorable Gani Adebayo Saka revealed that youths are the backbones and pillars of the constituency and would not lend their support to anyone else apart from the 26 year old candidate of the constituency (Rukayat Shittu) whom they have unanimously and collectively entrusted with their mandate at the primary election.
Gani Adebayo Saka said: “we the elders of Owode Onire are with Rukayat Shittu, whom we have identified as a bright young lady and well prepared to serve the interest of the constituency and if anybody thinks they can manipulate the judicial process to steal our mandate, such individuals are merely joking”.
“The destiny of Owode Onire cannot be toyed with, our mandate cannot be stolen through the back door and we the elders align with the aspiration of our young people through the candidature of Rukayat Shittu, he said.
