ASUU Strike: FG to present registration certificate to factional varsity union, CONUA today

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige is prepared to present certificate of recognition to the Congress of Nigerian University Academics (CONUA), a factional trade union in the university system.

The Informant247 gathered that the decision may be connected with the ceaseless industrial strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU which has lasted more than seven (7) months.

This information was gathered via an invitation of press, which was extended to newsmen who specialize in the coverage of the sector on Tuesday.

Oshundun Olajide, Deputy Director/Head Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, has revealed an invitation which reads: “The Honorable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, cordially invites you to the recognition and presentation of Certificate of Registration to the Congress of Nigerian University Academics (CONUA).

The Informant247 recalls that the National Industrial Court, had directed the striking lecturers to resume work.
