Appeal Court upholds Inuwa’s election as Gombe governor

The Appeal Court, sitting in Abuja on Thursday, affirmed the election of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as Gombe State Governor.

Justice Orji Abadua-led three-man panel of the appeal held that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) failed to prove allegations of non-compliance and irregularities in their separate petitions, thereby, upholding the decision of the Gombe State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the petition of Jibrin Barde of the PDP.
