APC confirms resignation of Sen. Binani as Tinubu’s campaign coordinator in Adamawa

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa has reacted to the resignation of Sen. Aishatu Binani as Coordinator of Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the party in Adamawa.

Mr Raymond Chidama, who’s the party secretary in the state made this confirmation while addressing newsmen after the meeting of the party’s stakeholders in Yola on Friday.

He revealed that her resignation came following the cancelation of the primary election which made her the party’s guber candidate by the Federal High Court, in Yola.

“Just this morning we saw her letter of stepping down from that responsibility”, he said.

Chindama disclosed that Mr Babale Martins, who deputized the former Gov. Muhammad Bindow, was to assume the responsibility of the leader off the campaign council in the state.

He said all party candidates, were to also coordinate presidential campaigns in their respective constituencies.

He also said that the party had made a resolution at the meeting that the party chairmen at the local government levels should initiate an all- inclusive list which would be a reflection of all the areas for the presidential campaign team.

“The party has directed all local government chairmen of the party to go back and meet to come back with formidable list that will be acceptable to all that will serve as the PCC in the state and operate at each level.

“As you are aware there is a PCC list from national level for the state, that list will not be affected ”, he said.

The Informant247 learnt that the Federal High Court in Yola on October 14 cancelled the Adamawa APC guber primary election which made Sen. Aishatu Binani, the gubernatorial candidate of the party for 2023 .

While ruling on the case initiated by Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the court announced the candidature of Binani as null and void.

Justice Abdulaaziz Anka revealed that the APC has no guber candidate for the 2023 guber election in the state.
