Alleged N19.4b fraud: Abuja court grants ex-Aviation minister Sirika, brother N200m bail
Justice Suleiman Belgore-led Federal Capital Territory High Court, Garki on Thursday, granted the immediate aviation minister, Hadi Sirika, and his brother, Ahmad Abubakar Sirika, bail in the sum of N100 million each and 2 sureties.
The Informant247 gathered that the two were arraigned before on a 10-count charge bordering on contract fraud brought against them and two companies – Enginos Nigeria Ltd and Samahah Integrated Investments Ltd.
It was learned that the ex-Aviation Minister was alleged to have conferred an unfair advantage on the companies owned by his brother to the tune of N19.4b.
Further conditions attached to the bail granted to both defendants are that one of the sureties must own a property within the FCT, and both are not to travel outside the country without first obtaining the permission of the court upon filing a formal application.
