Again, Moghalu joins 2023 race, picks N25m ADC presidential forms

A one time Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, on Tuesday in Abuja, picked the N25m presidential forms of the African Democratic Congress, ADC ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Moghalu while addressing journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, had said that politics in the country should not be a tribal issue, if at all the people want the country to grow and take its rightful place in the comity of nations.

He acknowledged that capable leaders can be found anywhere, regardless of tribe and religions, and declared that it’s high time capable ones took over the mantle of governance from those who do politics for personal gain.

He said insecurity, inflation and low quality of education among other issues would be addressed if he’s elected.

He insisted that the geopolitical zones that have not tasted the presidency before now should be given the chance to do so in 2023.

“My first step to providing security for the nation would be to reform the police and increase the number of its operatives by 300 percent. As a president, I will reform the Nigeria Police Force. I will increase the police from 250,000 to one million operatives.

“It is through effective intelligence gathering that we can fight terrorism and win. We will take out whatever threatens the nation’s security, because the political will to secure Nigeria is there,” Moghalu said.

He added that, “Inflation is the most act on the poor. It erodes the ability of households to save and devalues the purchasing power of the currency. If there is high inflation, then it is a performance failure. When I become the president, I will ensure we have an independent CBN with competent leadership.”
