Abducted female students regain freedom
The students of Kaduna State College of Education (KSCOE), Gidan Waya, who were kidnapped three days ago, have been set free.
Recall that the students – Racheal Edwin, Esther Ishaya, Promise Tanimu, and Beauty Luka, were kidnapped in Jemaá Local Government area of the state.
Comrade Benjamin Fie, the President of the Students Union of the school, said the kidnappers have demanded an outrageous ransom.
“The abductors are already demanding a huge ransom for their release. We want to use this medium to urge the college community and all the students to commit themselves, the school and their parents to prayers,” he had said.
He therefore on Saturday told newsmen that the kidnappers have released the students on Friday.
He however did not disclose if any money was given to the kidnappers.
He only disclosed that the released students received medical treatment at Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital in Kafanchan before reuniting with their relatives.
