2027:Group endorses Senator Ashiru for Kwara governorship race
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a socio-political group, City Boy Builds Nigeria(CBN) has endorsed Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, the lawmaker representing Kwara South Senatorial district for Kwara governorship race.
The lawmaker was endorsed at the official unveiling of the Kwara Central Senatorial district chapter of the City boys build Nigeria in Ilorin on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, the Chief mobiliser of the programme, Comrade Hammed Bolaji Dollar disclosed that the endorsement was borne out of Senator Ashiru’s track record in service to the people.
While noting that “the gathering represent their shared hope for purposeful leadership and a better Kwara State, he said Senator Ashiru’s record of service gives them confidence in his aspirations.
He described the lawmaker as true servant of the people and has delivered the dividends of democracy to his constituents.

While presenting the communique on behalf of the group, Honourable Intellect Abiodun Bashir Erubu, who is the anchor of City Boys Build Nigeria stated that the endorsement came on the heels of a wider consultation with stakeholders across the four local government areas that made up the Kwara Central Senatorial district.
He continued “Senator Ashiru’s political maturity, consistency, legislative competence, loyalty to progressive ideals, and proven bridge-building capacity clearly distinguish him as the right leader to consolidate existing gains, strengthen unity, and drive inclusive and sustainable development.

The group also expressed strong confidence in the lawmaker’s ability to effectively domesticate and advance the renewed hope agenda in Kwara State for the benefit of all citizens.
While the group commemded the current administration under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, they warned that the future of the state must not be negotiated on sectional or parochial interests, but secured through competence, vision,unity of purpose and statewide appeal.
The group observe that while notable progress has been recorded over the past six years under the current administration,it noted that the state now “requires leadership capable of delivering deeper inclusiveness, strategic development and long-term political and economic stability
The duo of Honourable Babatunde Oniwara and Honourable Sulaiman Muniroh from Ilorin South commended organisers of the event and called on stakeholders to rally round the lawmaker in the interest of the development of the state.
