The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that intending pilgrims from the state will pay ₦8.5 million for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the state capital.

He explained that the fee was approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which also allocated 3,762 slots to Kwara State for the pilgrimage.

According to him, intending pilgrims are expected to possess valid international passports and complete all registration processes before the stipulated deadline.

Alhaji Abdulkadir revealed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved an initial deposit option of ₦5 million for residents willing to participate.

He added that participants must balance up the remaining fee before the October 8, 2025 deadline.
